By Gary P I purchased this as a replacement for a similar product that I bought on home shopping of all places 5 years ago. It had worked flawlessly for 5 years sitting in an unheated garage and charging it only after an occasional use. But the air pump broke so I needed a new one and I couldn't find the old brand any more. I purchased this jump starter with inflator and have had it for about 7 months now. Pros: It is a heavy duty unit It has a lot of features on it. It is easy to throw in the trunk on trips It has a test system to tell you how charged the unit is. Cons. I left my car for vacation and returned to find a totally dead battery. I hooked up the starter and the car came to life but it didn't have quite enough power to start the car. I ended up buying a charger and recharging the battery for 24 hours. The car has worked fine since. My wife picked up a nail in one of the tires producing a slow leak taking about 4 days to go flat. I used the pump on the car tire every other day for 3 weeks, that's another repair story, and it worked fine but. The guage was small and inacurate. The air hose was too short and in some cases I had to find something to put the starter on to be able to reach the tire valve. The air hose wraps around the inside behind the jumper clamps so they must be removed first to remove the hose. They recommend charging the battery every 4 months. The other product held the charge over a year. They also say that constant charging can ruin the battery so you have to charge it for a day and a half and then unplug it. The older one was plugged in for months without a problem. Are these things serious? No just annoying. It will do the job but next time I will do a little more looking. See all 1 customer reviews...

So I bought this Power Dome LT for my daughter's birthday and she loves it too! She always keeps her electronics charged and ready to go. She uses the USB power port for her digital camera and MP3 player. Plus the AC and DC outlets power her cell phone and other appliances. Her Power Dome LT weighs a few pounds less than mine so she can carry it around easily. She keeps it in her trunk in case of an emergency. If she ever has car trouble, I know she is prepared to jumpstart the car or inflate a tire. The LED lights are a nice feature too. I paid almost $200 after shipping, and I expect it to work! Ask yourself why this unit has gone from $189 to less than $90 within a year. Clackley The Jump-starter works fine, but the air compressor is cheaply constructed with plastic gearing. Inflating a tire that is completely flat causes the pump to get very hot, the hot metal part melted the plastic gears in my pump. The pump will stop working when it overheats, but the damage will be done. Attempts to use other chargers have produced three green lights indicating full charge, however the charge was not maintained for long and the unit could not start my car. I have concluded that the rechargeable battery is extremely poor quality. By NTtrainer I thought this charger was the greatest thing around the first couple of times I used it. Now, less than a year after I purchased it, it won't charge the battery. The battery meter shows that is has about a half charge (12.5 volts) but there isn't enough juice to turn over a VW beetle. I tried to plug it in to recharge it but it is not taking a charge. It looks and feels very durable. The compressor worked fine yesterday but the internal battery in the unit won't charge. Some people have issues with using the jump start but mostly this is due to not following the instructions in the manual. To jump start the unit charges a capacitor. When you attach it to you battery you have about 30 sec to attempt a turn-over. Then you have to wait for the capacitor to charge before attempting another turn-over. I have used this unit to jump start the car and when my battery went completely dead I was able to plug it into the lighter so it could back feed power to the system to keep the car running while I drove to a repair shop. I had power go out while moving into our new home four years ago and used my father's unit to power two lamps and a radio for the painters. Which is what lead me to buy one. I have also used it camping. Has never let me down By Michael Everett I use a power inverter to charge my cell phone, my air mattress pump, my cameras, and my laptop while on the road. The first inverter I bought lasted all of maybe two days, so to replace it I resolved to do more thorough research. When I checked out Schumacher's site, I discovered they had a vast line of power supply equipment, much of it for industrial use. My assumption was their small consumer inverters would be built to industrial standards as well and might last longer than my first one. I was not disappointed. The PI-200 has been my constant traveling companion over thousands of miles of roads and has never failed me, plus it has about as many features as you could ask for. 200 watts is more than enough for charging the items that travel with me. It also features a low battery alarm should it drain the source battery below a certain level. But don't think that means you can continue to pull power through your car's cigarette lighter after the car is shut down for the simple reason that turning off your ignition also turns off the power to your cigarette lighter The workaround for this would be to find an adaptor going from a female cigarette lighter to two clips. Then attach the clips to the battery and plug into the other end of the adaptor. Then keep your inverter handy and shut it off if and when the low battery alarm goes off. Great customer service By mrz I received the earlier version of this product (PKC0BL) about a year and a half ago for a gift. Just recently the air compressor stopped pumping air. It still ran, but would not inflate. I called 1-800-477-5847 to see what options I had since the 90 day warranty was over. Even though the warranty had long expired, they sent a new one to me at no cost. Since it cannot be returned to Amazon, I have to contact the manufacturer to file a claim. Prices of battery jumpstarters on Amazon are good, but since they can't be returned, you have to hope that you are one of the lucky ones that gets a battery that works.I would not buy another battery from Amazon, nor would I buy this brand again. By DeeMee One reviewer said it was complicated. I agree the controls and labels are unintuitive. Not informative in a clear manner. But the operation is pretty simple. A few minutes reading the instructions make sit clear enough. A couple of uses and it all makes sense. This unit can check your alternator, tell you if a battery has an open or shorted cell. It can recondition batteries suffering from sulfanation. It will charge at 25 amps which is faster than many chargers. Plus it can put out 75 amps for a short time to give a quick boost. The nozzle of the tube compressor is a worthless piece of plastic that just is not strong enough or firmly enough to push the stem of a tire valve. The compressor is "classified" as "260 PSI", but this is a joke and should be simply because the instrument has a superior marking of "260" on it. In fact, this unit could not even deliver 40 PSI in my tires car! Besides this, the terminal of the battery just took out the first time I tried to connect it to a car battery. A closer look reveals this is not a big surprise in view of the cheap plastic used to make delicate terminals. Now I have an expensive piece of junk that can not be returned. ATTENTION BUYER ... The nozzle on the compressor hose is a worthless piece of plastic that's barely strong enough or situated firmly enough to push in the stem on a tire valve. The compressor is "rated" as "260 PSI" but this is a joke and must be simply because the gauge has an upper marking of "260" on it. In reality this unit could not even deliver 40 PSI into my car tire! On top of that, the battery terminal clamp snapped right off the very first time I attempted to hook it to a car battery. Closer inspection revealed this as no great surprise in view of the cheap brittle plastic used to make the clamps. Now I have an expensive piece of junk that cannot be returned. BUYER BEWARE... By Lola Jean My daughter has one of these because her husband felt it was a good thing for her to have, when her battery died and she was stuck 2 hours waiting for a tow truck. She has used it numerous times for things like pumping up a trailer tire, jump starting their riding lawnmower with it, charging up her cell phone in a power outage, and tonight we just used it again during a five hour power outage as our main source of light. It has a 12 volt cigarette lighter style socket, a USB and wall outlet power source. It was sitting dead in a parking lot in four months. This jump starts saying you need to charge it for 48 hours before first use, but I was at a time pressure, so I used it after the 24th The unit started the car right up. Use between 25% and 50% of the fee. The unit itself is small enough for me easy to throw into a backpack or keep in a corner of my car. I do not think that light is necessary, but whatever. The only thing I did not like was that the AC charger is a two pin plug protruding from the device. Make sure the black panel next to the light in the picture? I did it for the first time yesterday to my car after the battery to start. The car started on the first try. The driver is very easy to use, but the cables are very short, which greatly limits where you can while the camera is connected to the car. There was no way to set the jumper on the ground, while the cables are connected to the car. In my case (I have a Civic), I had the jumpers on the small flat area just above the heating set. It was a precarious situation, because if the car was good, if I wanted to start shaking it, the driver could fall to the ground. The only other options to someone, the jumper, or sit at the top of the engine, which I thought might be dangerous to find. How do things, but if you find a starter with longer cables, I recommend you do, so I still have not tried it with a compressor or USB connector. By the way, you have jumper for 24 hours for free if it first. They invite you put it into an extension cord into a standard wall outlet. I recommend that you store this information with the jumper, so you can refer to the instructions when you need it. It has never worked, I left my 16 year old daughter for the double thread. The Duracell However, at the height of his reputation: the air compressor is a very nice bonus. If there is one drawback is that it takes a long time to load (often overnight). It has some limitations Noname compressor that I used to inflate the tires on my car and works as my last compressor. There is also a flag to show what tire pressure is that I breathe. Tomas: I used this in a camp in the power of my gap by making 12 VDC. It is also used to give my Asus EeePC netbook via 120V outlet. There was no problem. There are two 120V AC outlets, so my husband tried to connect your laptop while I was on my netbook in the fan began to blow as soon as he was connected with the time and sounded a loud alarm. I thought it was too much for the battery to have both drives connected when my husband tried in your notebook, without anything connected, came another loud alarm. It has a large notebook 17 ". To be honest, Powerpak was not fully charged. In fact it was only half, but I had no choice but to try. It was not out of my car right away. I waited a few minutes and tried again and almost ran laps in the car was, and I think it would work if I had waited a little 'longer and turned the key. But my husband was already there with our car, and the other because it was so lopsided, it did not want to wait to try again. The biggest problem with using this as a starter jump I must remember to keep charging every three months. If I ever get to test it on full force, I will update. 62 of 68 people found this review helpful. very weak, could only jump start 4-cylinder car, Hakeem I bought this product after reading all the positive reviews, but I've noticed that no investigation that the product is used as a starter jump again, all the reviews talking about how fast are recharged while driving and how wonderful it was to order process or use of compressior air. I would use it to jump start my car again after 3 months of purchase, and it seems not enough power to do this but it seems designed to jump start a small car with 4 cylinders, I fully and begin to try several times without success. I think if you're looking for a really quick start, you're not counting on this unit.

O'Connor, I just used this product once, and the following comparisons to my compressor precedent: * Works with greater stability and less vibration. The first would fall and turn in circles. * You can inflate tires faster. * The indicator is too small to allow an accurate determination of the pressure, and are not accurate compared to my digital sign. * The on / off switch is an improvement over the "tailor-connected mode". * The cable compartment is not too comfortable. * The connection of inflation is the tendency to hang onto the valve, allowing air to escape during log off. It's an incredibly compact unit, and it has built-in cables which can be wrapped right onto the chassis, which saves an incredible amount of space and makes it very easy to carry/move/store. I had a riding lawnmower that was draining batteries and constandly needed to be jumped off of my truck battery, which was incredibly cumbersome. Carrying this starter out to the lawnmower, jumping it, and then mowing the lawn was 100 times easier than backing out my truck, popping the hood, untangling the cables, pulling the mower out in front of the truck, and then jump-starting it. I've since repaired the lawnmower, but am keeping this handy little charger around for my wife's car, just in case she needs it. It barely takews up any room at all, and it holds quite a charge. I've jump-started my riding lawnmower twice and the battery indicator didn't even drop (I would imagine a car would take a much higher charge and therefore drain the battery more), but it still shows how much this charger is capable of holding If you're looking for a portable jump-starter, this is the one for you. 39 of 44 people found the following review helpful. A jump for me and you, and you and me By Disabled Smurf I have an remote starter on my car and after work I figured I'll start my car as I walk to it. The car didn't start but the headlights were on. I went inside the car and tried to start it with the key and nada. No noise or anything. My automatic starter must've glitched. I kept trying to turn the key to start my car in hopes by magic it'll turn over. NO luck. I stopped to think for a second and then figured I'll put the car in valet mode (it's for the auto starter) to see if I could bypass the remote starter. I did and nothing. My last option was to see if i killed the battery by trying to start it so many times I took this out of my trunk that hasn't been charged in 4 months and connected the red to the red battery terminal and the black to a nut some where on the engine. The green light turned on telling me I had a correct circuit. I then turned the knob to power on the jumper. I ran to the driver's seat and tried to start it. A sign of life! It's trying to turn over. I counted to 4 and then tried it a second time and it turned right on. The scream i let out could have been heard in China (where it was most likely made). I can't tell you how awesome this unit is. I used it several times for my DC accessories and it last a very long time. This product has yet to disappoint me. 5 STARS! Had to call AAA twice and at the same time ordered the unit in fact, low battery again, the car will not start, a peak load to complete the rescue, immediate success. He drove the car on the road for a while now and seems fine. With the peak on the back is no longer a need to worry about getting caught or calling AAA. Its best features: low cost small recharge at home using AC or DC drive through, all cables included. Two things to watch: When the load (and this is true for any unit of this type) I tend not to touch the painted surface, you should get in touch with the raw metal. If the soil is in contact with a painted surface, the contact indicator units may give a false reading of contact. Use the ground terminal of the battery at your own risk, if this happens for some reason, make sure that no liquid or vapor from the battery. The built-in indicator that shows the strength of the units should be used when the unit is actually charging, the reading could occur otherwise false.

Pros: It has a charging, FM / AM tuner with aux. audio input and a USB port for the suckers who owns an iPod, the LED light is bright enough, the presence of an air compressor, a plus and the snake is a decent length but not at first face, two outlets and one DC socket must be enough space to plug in something, and jump ropes course in the trunk just like air hose, is longer than it appears on the screen (about 2.5 m) The reason why I have only 4 stars: AC power socket on mine is a 2-stage switch, which means it is OFF, 1 and 2 settings. One does nothing and runs two stores. Based on the pictures it is clear that a simple on / off said was to be there and probably in most units, but for some reason, I have another (no biggie) The compressor works well, but I have a problem with it fact that the disc is 260psi. Who is pumping as much air into something? For this reason I have to look when I'm filling tires, because the distance from 0-35/40 very small. The tips for air hose loose, so they will be thrown away or get lost easily. Finally, the speaker is not the biggest on the radio, it would have been nice to have a built-in amplifier and an audio-out, but I think this can do only so much. Lee I have been looking for a portable pressure gauge I can use my bike and the lack of choice, I deicded Slime gauges a try. Inflator is quite small (slightly larger than the palm of your hand as illustrated) and comes with all cables and a case that fits the device itself. The unit is powered only by battery, so you can not connect to power outlet of your home. You can draw power with alligator clips, a pre-fixed input (such as the battery tender), or a cigarette lighter source. Operation is very simple. You just connect the hose to the unit, connect the power and the power of the battery, regardless of the above three methods and the switch on the device. Now the bad ... since it is labeled as a portable pump, the camera body looks very cheap and filmsy as above, the unit is loud and obnoxious vibrates like crazy. Finally, it will take almost 5 minutes to inflate motorcycle tires 20-30 psi then definitely do not recommend anyone to try it on a lot more tires. The manual says that users should not use the unit for more than 8 minutes at a time when I assume that not be enough to add 5 psi of air in a car tire. Overall, I think that the product does a good job of tires on the road soon, but I am very concerned for his life. With the way the device vibrates and inflate the tires and if you look filmsy, I would not place much reliance on it for eternity. By Vic This is a neat little addition to any gear bag with the motorcycle. This little kit is small enough to throw in your bag and forget you have until you need it. The air pressure gauge feels a bit cheap, but it is something that can be solved by buying another for a few dollars. The compressor itself feels very solid, but makes a lot of noise when in use. However, there are a few things to note: 1. This unit does not have an automatic float charging system. This means that you can not leave it plugged in and expect to maintain a full charge. Instead, you should disconnect and reconnect it regularly (at least every few months). If you lose, you will not be alone in not having a unit when you need it, but the battery can be damaged if it is not the way to realization. Loaders that cost a minimum of 20 € have this feature, there is no reason to exclude such units. 2. This unit has no power cord. Instead, you must use an extension cord must be a version of dongle to the unique design of the group. 3. This unit does not have a storage compartment. No big deal, but if the accessories you want to tote (if a rope or inflation needle), you are not a suitable place to store, I also had two central units.
